I wonder why companies like BYD instead of trying to reinvent the wheel, just don't take apart a Tesla, and copy everything that works well and isn't patented. They could even hire ex Tesla employees to get insight into the production methods.
I can imagine for following directions on the map, a vertical orientation for the screen might be helpful.

Just tested the Atto 3, I think you missed the point of an EV. Economy. Open road and hill climbs with dog legs. No issues found. It's not super quick it's a family work horse. Not a sports car.

I google the price of model Y in US and it shows ~$65k and is more than Model 3.
You said the price of Model Y = $46k and Model 3 = $45,500. Are your prices for the Teslas selling in China?

I've read and watched a few real world owners of the atto 3 and yet to find one that isn't happy with it.
the atto3 sell for half the price of model 3 in china. when it is exported overseas, the distributors jacked up the prices and still keep the price competitive. for a model 3 price, byd offers models comparable to modle s and x. there is no competition from value perspective.
Still, I think they will have sales. I belive most people won't care that much about all the things you showed, they want a cheap car. That especially doesn't look that bad as of the stats.
In my country of Romania, and also in France, most sold cars are Dacias, really bad as of quality and safety, but cheap and reliable (the important parts), my family had 2. They come nowhere close to the German cars we had and have now.
I think there will be a market for them, and seeing gas prices people will buy this types of cars. I wouldn't want one, but not all people are like me
BYD/other Chinese EVs are not a threat to tesla but are partners that is big threat to ICE car industry. The review of atto 3 is somewhat accurate i would say but i don't think you've tried many "real" EVs yet other than tesla because the EV industry sucks in your country tbh. And it's stupid when you drive a low end BYD vehicle and judge "Chinese cars" because i don't think you've tested any Li auto, Nio, Xpeng, Wei, Hongqi Cars that would shock you how overrated tesla cars are interms of Build quality, tech and driving experience. However all Chinese companies acknowledge that Tesla is the leader that has changed the perception of EV as "real cars" which is required because no Matter how good the car is Chinese companies can not lead the industry for C word associated with it so they'll sell premium cars in premium markets only like China, Norway then Eu then gradually move to other places. Until then stick to Tesla as a fanboy ignoring BYD MG Vinfast Kia cars cuz they all trash in their own unique way 😂

Atto3 owner for 3 weeks, - enjoyed the video, and agree with much of whats said, but not the premise.
Yes - Tesla im sure is better in every dimension, i cant say - ive never been in one.
I have owned a Subaru WRX for 300,000kms - and love it.
Front wheel drive is probably the easiest to point sticks at. If you are in a hurry, you've already missed the point.
I've 1500kms on the Atto3 and its a delight. Build quality is very high, and the car is surprisingly polished, with OTA to fix tinny radio, but great sounds, missing android auto, and improve a few bits and pieces (not much needed).
The key point for me - is value, this vehicle delivers, and makes me smile. Its a really nice drive, and really easy to own. BYD are going to own NZ's new car market pretty quickly. Tesla needs to get the model 2 (or whatever its called) out the door before its too late.
