Plasma pen is a good device for the management of skin tags and warts. Plasma pen is not regulated as it is not a laser or light source device. U poslednje vreme jedna od veoma često spominjana intervencija koju izvode brojni kozmetički saloni, ili ordinacije plastične hirurgije predstavlja nehirurško podizanje kapaka. Ova intervencija se često naziva radiotalasni lifting ili plazma lifting očnih kapaka. Suština ove intervencije jeste da se radiotalasnim uređajem, odnosno radiotalasnim nožem veoma male energije prave mali rezovi u regiji gde se očni kapci savijaju, najčešće gornjeg očnog kapka. Ideja iza nehirurškog liftinga očnih kapaka jeste da se nakon ove intervencije dolazi do stvaranja ožiljka koji vrši povlačenje kože i zatezanje kapaka. Neosporna činjenica je da prilikom stvaranja ožiljka dolazi do povlačenja kože, ali mera u kojoj se ovo događa je umanjena u odnosu na hirurško povećanje kapaka, odnosno blefaroplastiku. Nehiruškim podizanjem kapaka rezultati su, dakle skromniji i kod mlađih pacijenata ovi rezultati mogu biti vidljivi ali kod starijih pacijenata koji imaju jasan višak kože, ili izraženo masno jastuče ispod kože nehirurško podizanje kapaka neće dati rezultate. Kada se radi operacija blefaroplastike, odnosno podizanje gornjih i donjih očnih kapaka najčešće se vrši isecanje viška kože koje može biti široko i do jednog centimetra, nekada čak i više od toga. Nehirurško podizanje kapaka nikada ne može da da rezultate veće od 2-4 milimetra i to uvek treba naglasiti pacijentu. Takođe, neretko pacijenti koji se odluče za bilo kakvu intervenciju na očnim kapcima navode da im je veoma čest problem izražen osećaj nadutosti u predelu kapaka. Ova nadutost može biti posledica edema i nakupljanja tečnosti, a kod veoma velikog broja pacijenata može biti i posledica stvaranja prekobrojnog masnog tkiva u regiji ispod kože kapka pa ukoliko se ovo masno tkivo na odstrani hirurškim putem rezultati nadutosti će uvek ostati. Prema tome, ukoliko imate višak kože na očnim kapcima koji je jasno izražen i ukoliko imate jasno nadutost u predelu gornjih i donjih očnih kapaka, nijedna metoda osim blefaroplastike odnosno hirurškog podizanja gornjih i donjih očnih kapaka sa brojnim tehnikama ne može Vam pomoći. Hirurško podizanje gornjih i donjih očnih kapaka je superiorna metoda i jedna od najčešće izvođenih intervencija uopšte kako u našoj zemlji i regionu tako i u svetu.
